After looking at your throttle linkage bracket it has the swivle in the rear where mine has it in the front.I'll have to back and watch graveyard carz,Mark Worman was complaining about a stamped bracket being warped on a 440 6 pack car and it seems it may be like yours.I DVR all the shows.

I have my six pack in but no kick down linkage for an A body.I currently don't have any thing on the intake mounts for the carb end of the linkage but I do have the rod connected to the trans.My question does any one know if there is a produced setup availible or am I going to have to fab one...

When you have the motor out you can drop the front of the tranny to make changeing the shift seals easier

Front seal is the one around the staff behind the converter.Sounds like it is still in the car?If so replace the two seals on the shifter also.I did mine with the engine out and it was a huge pain,but alot worse if the motor was in.The shift shaft seal is around the shifter and I used a metal...

If you can get it to autozone see if they will clear it for you,tell them you replaced it all and they may do it for you.Then turn the key off then restart it and see if they come back,if they do have them check it again and get the codes.

I have what I believe to be a 78" lock-up 904 in my car.I have no idea if its a 1 to 1 ratio though.

So since my motor is out and curiousty set in I went out and looked at my tranny and it has the lock up shaft,the converter looks like any other and I think I only unhooked two wires.I know the 318 is a 1975 butI guess I'll check the numbers on the tranny lip to see if I can tell what year it...

So what I was thinking is its like a 5 speed tranny in that it acts as an overdrive direct drive.

Thats what I was thinking it was as far as the converter.What is the benefit of the lock up over the non lock up.I don't mean to high jack but this lock up deal has been on my mind.

Define lock up.Is this the drag stripe lock up or something different?

I think thats what he was getting at.I took it as he was expecting it to react as a 4 speed tranny would.

also make sure you turn that converter with pressure pushing in to make sure you set it into the trans completely.

If I'm reading this right.If the trans is empty it will free-wheel so you should be able to turn it,also the converter has to turn so many RPM's before it grabs hold to move the car like 1500 rpm's or so.I may be off base here but thats what seem correct to me.
