I cut out all the floor to fit the new pan,reason I did this is because I wanted the most new metal in the car.That being said the pan I bought from rockauto was a full front side(I installed both front pans seperately) the pan you picutred doesn't have the lips on the side and top area so IMO...

Also if the tank was very warm from fuel or just road heat and the tank was filled to the top as it cools down the tank would contract and force the fuel out.A lot of sernerios about heat expansion.

One thing to consider is your vent is clogged and it builds pressure in the heat and pushes out the easiest path.Or the drive home splashed the gas over a piont where it holds the gas and seeps out.What ever it is thats odd for sure.Good luck.

I'm pretty sure most cars,to lock the door you have to hold the button or latch while shutting the locked door.mid 70's and up anyways. If that don't do it just roll the window down:smilebox:

Funny how every body talks about how original is the only way to get good money with an old car but that thing is only a shell,everything else is custom.I guess that blows that theory out of the water.Granted it has alot invested but 33,000 for a "custom" ride.

I don't know if you want to do it yourself but eastwood sales a chrome spray that looks pretty good.I haven't used any yet but I'm tempted if the times comes that I need some thing chromed.There are others but here is an example...
