    Engine size would help.I believe a small block head gasket is 4.10 which is a 340 bored .060 over so it should be good.Some one else can chime in on the small block gasket and what the big block gaskets measure.

    Technically it can be any where.The oil pump shaft sets the dist. and the dist can be set in at two spots 180 degrees around.But you want it to be on the driver side pointing near the center of the exhaust manifold.as stated above.

    True but without any resistance the shaft could turn some if it was low of fluid.the OP should be able to tell if it is free spinning(revving very quickly) or is laboring to accelerate(rear end locked up) when he has it in gear and hitting the pedal.

    If your pulling them together you need to get that front end up high so the trans tail shaft will clear the ground and trans hump or pull the front k frame with the engine still mounted to it and bring the whole unit out from the bottom but you will need a engine lift to lift the car up for...

    If the heat gets too cool thru the vents you may need to put a higher rated thermostat in it to brung the temperture up some as mopar to ya said new cars have electric fans so they kick on and off our oldies have direct fans that run all the time so with the cool weather its still cooling evan...
