    440 in 72 Dart Swinger?

I used the 73 Abody shumocker conversion mounts. Like a Dumbass I sold the car over 5 years a go. But if I remember right all I had to do was cut a inch off the top of the left side K frame engine mount and redrill a new hole. No other cutting that I can remember..I will look up the instructions...

    440 in 72 Dart Swinger?

I put a stock stroke 0.030 over 440 in my 73 dart swinger. Had Wisco flat top pistons/ eagle rods, stock steel crank, out of the box indy EZ heads, comp 590 solid roller cam, tunnelram etc. The engine had 10.9 compression and ran on 93 pump gas. The dart would run 10.49 at 126 in the 1/4 and...

    408 SB versus BB 541

Don't get me wrong cubes are king. But I built a 30 over 440 that ran 10.40 at 126 in the 1/4 on 93 pump gas. The car was a 3400 pound with me in it 73 dart swinger. Also that was with little tuning and the wrong sized torque converter

    big block a body swap

Hi. I don't remember the part number off hand, just bought them for a 440 in a body with stock heads. Theses will not fit a 440 with Raised exhaust ports like Indy-1 heads. The only 3 small problems I had was. (1) the grease zerk for the Pittman arm was rubbing a exhaust tube. So I just removed...

    CNP igntion system idea

If I ever get around to it. I am going to use a GM LS computer, wireing harness, injectors and coils. You have to swap the coil and injector wires on cylinder 4 and 7. Then reprogram the LS computer.

Big block in Dart: transmission fill tube issue- tried everything! Help!!!

The CRT locking transmission Dipstick I got worked great. It comes with the better seal too. My 73 Dart had a 440 with Indy EZ heads and 2 inch tube TTI headers. It bolted right in and I didn’t have to bend it etc to get it to fit.
