    those #s are pretty good... just about how my 318s were... i would pull it, make sure the wireing is good while the motors out, redo the gaskets, timing chain, oil pump and bearings. if the rest looks good slam it back together and in and go have fun...

    i am not runnin the Air-Gap but i am runnin a performer with stock covers no problem. i dont see why they wont work.

    when i ran one on my 173k 318 in my 71 dart i was pullin 135-150 on all. and mine smokes at times! so if yours has been kept up it should be around there... mine hasn't been..... i have not been nice to my 71...:burnout:

    It never ends....

    i have to do the oilchange on the 87 SOON.... i am only 2k OVER the 3000 mile mark. i have 5 qts of 15w50 Mobil1 full synth and a bottle of lucas, and a mopar filter sittin in the back... thats where it has been sitting for the last MONTH... so dont feel bad.... I WANT MY 360 TO LOOK LIKE...

    Timing Cover..."Stupid Question"

    check the swap meets and also try these guys. they may have one like what you need. i just stopped by these guys after running all over hells half acre trying to find a timing cover for my PW... you'd think with it being a 360 EVERYONE would have at least one either in stock or can order...

    i agree with him! also i would tear down the top end and redo the gaskets. valve seals, intake, exhaust, valve covers..... it'll run if you dont do it but if you want to do it right thats what i would do. i have to go through this with my scamp but its only been sittin 8 yrs.... not 18.. plus...

    the rod and main bearings in my 360 for my PW are pretty much trashed. they seem to be warn down to copper, or whatever it is they are made out of. this cant be good right?? what could this problem be???? if you need pics i can have them but it might take till this weekend to get em. also...

    well points are not an issue anymore on this car... they ahve been eliminated with the install of the electronics. yes it is a vac advance on the distributor and yes it is hooked up. i am not sure which port its on as i did not do the setup on it. and yes i did time it with the vac...

    360 Starter Motor

    i would run one of the newer starters. i have one in my ram and it turns a 488 no problem. the new "mini" starters are a higher torque than the stock style ones from what i have heard.

    HELP!!-Oil Leak......

    his is like the one on my power wagon.... there is no 90* adapter. the filter spins directly on the block. the only thing there is the male\male thread adapter. for that i dont know if there is a seal there or not. i was wondering if there was or not under that plate. i can take a pic if nessessary

    well checked the compression and found a few things that struck me as odd.... most had good compression.... but there were a few that were lower.... heres the compression for all cyls... #1: 147 #2: 135 #3: 123 #4: 150 #5: 145 #6: 140 #7: 125 #8: 145 no i am no expert by any means...
