In the real world of "get'em in, get 'em up, get 'em off, get 'em out" we used to put oil in diff's IMEDIATELY after the cover went on. Never had one leak,

    8.8 swap 7260 adapter u joint to ???

hi, so we are finishing up the 8.8 swap on Dany's Cuda (finally!!) and like I read on here a while ago the drivshaft (for an 8.25) looks to be the right length. So we went looking for an adapter joint to adapt the 7260 shaft to the bolt on 8.8 flange. Bolt on flanges can be had for 3310 and 1330...

    Will a 8.25 work?

All that said, we are narrowing a Ford 8.8 before we add Drag radials due to common/cheap aftermarket support. It occurred to us if we broke an axle we would have to buy another A body 8.25 to get one as there is no aftermarket replacement...

    Will a 8.25 work?

Pretty long, our '66 Cuda is 3600 lbs, 400(ish) HP, 3.55's. 3 seasons of Brackets (13.50's) on street tires and NO issues. Ma Mopar used them in 1/2 ton pickups if that says anything? If nothing else, I think the street tires "protect" it...

    Deeper oil pan for 904

The "Lube Locker" style gasket is a big help and its reusable. Also, a dipstick o ring or shifter shaft/TV lever seal can look like a pan leaking..

    Now THAT'S a TV cable!!

So I finally got to roadtest today and DAMN!!! I set the cable up like I always have to start, WOT= KD lever all the way to the rear. I never adjusted it after that!! Light throttle shifts were almost unnoticeable. No perceptable "downshifting" coming up to a stop. And super hard, squat the rear...

    Deeper oil pan for 904

An A500 pan fits right on a 904. You will need to buy a filter extension also.

    Now THAT'S a TV cable!!

It's the nail head looking connector that came with the Lokar cable. Same as a late model Magnum would use

    Now THAT'S a TV cable!!

It has a 1"X3" block of steel welded to the angle iron, then a portion of the TV cable receptacle off of a Magnum 5.9 throttle body welded to the steel block. The carb studs will break off before that bracket bends..

    Now THAT'S a TV cable!!

Look on the last pic. There is a rectangular button. Push it and slide the cable in and out in the mount. Let go of the button and it stays there. Simple!!

    Now THAT'S a TV cable!!

So my dissatisfaction with the Lokar TV cable lead me to design a mount for the carb that would hold the factory cable that came with the trans (93 A998 ). Only spent a few hours on it and it works perfectly and uses about a tenth of the effort to pull that the Lokar unit did. And yes, I'm so...
