    1966/'69 A100 Twins Build

Your pictures bounce from black to grey, fresh to sanded; however, it looks awesome. All I can say is it'll probably blow away the judges at the 1st event you attend (although I didn't exactly follow what you did)! Believe me, I follow everything you do!!

1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

The 7 1/4" rear absorbs less power parasitically than larger (8 1/4" or 8 3/4") offerings. To maximize power, the smallest axle housing that can handle the job is the best one for the job. I think you already know this, though.

'68 Barracuda Formula S Fastback Restoration Background

Did you happen to buy your car from Gary in Halifax, PA? It would have had a 340 T/A 6-pack with a rusty no-paint block.

You may find the '67 grill grows on you. I always wanted to put one on a Duster.

'68 Barracuda Formula S Fastback Restoration Background

My dream car is a 1968 Barracuda fastback -- like yours. I wouldn't care if it were a /6, 318, or Formula-S car. I have in my mind mods I would do to make it better, and what you're doing to yours aligns very well with my thoughts. All I can say is I love your car and what you're doing!

What's wrong with Comp Cams? I've used them for decades and they're always my 1st choice. I have a Jeep 4.0 to 4.6 stroker and chose Comp Cams for it. I haven't fired it yet, should I be scared? Educate me.

So I started reading through this thread thinking to myself, what a turd. As I watch you transform it into something incredible, I'm thinking to myself, "I have to make some meaningless post so I'm subscribed!" You do fabulous work!

1972 Duster , starting to tear into the build

I did a body colored dash once on a '70 /6 Duster. I retrofitted a Rallye dash from a '71 340, added Rallye wheels, color matching (though not factory) stripes, and sold it to my brother for about 1/2 what I had into it because he wrecked his DD and needed a new ride NOW. (This was 1987.) It...

For the steering box, the Jeep Cherokee version has successfully been adapted to older A/B Body applications. If you're not a stickler for originality, maybe look there.

My 75 Finally Gets The Attention It Deserves(This Could Take a While)

My guess is mid- to late-production. How many '75 Dusters were made? Yours is your VIN number of total production. Just a rough guess.

My 75 Finally Gets The Attention It Deserves(This Could Take a While)

As for production date, the last 6 digits of your VIN can give you a rough idea. Low numbers are early production, while high numbers are late production.

    1968 Barracuda fastback..formula S 383/4spd..Restore or not?

I bit my lip reading suggestions to add a cage, tubs, and other hacks. Of course, without anything to define "original", it's moot -- sort of. The VIN verifies it to be a BB, even without the fender tag/build sheet. From there, you could use only factory parts and create the Dream Car from...

    Swinging for Divorce…

I agree with several of the insulating methods already mentioned as being potentially effective. There is a product I've used in the past that you simply mix with paint, and it adds "refractive" properties to the paint (California's way of legislating their version of saying 'insulating')...
