    MAXIMUM CRANK UNDERSIZE

I'd call this a definitive answer, there's expertise being quoted.Don't worry about it is the answer. Mopar boys been dropping 440 cranks in 400 blocks long before there was anything aftermarket.

David Vizard bench flows a BBD 2bbl

I think the real point of offset grinding the crank would be to gain some compression.318 is notoriously low comp. Raise the pistons in the bore some. Not really to gain more cid. After all the real point of the build is to show case what can be done with stock parts.Looks like 302 heads might be...

    273 Supercharged...ITS HAPPENING PEOPLE!!

Any plans to mini tub? You might need even more tire.Turbo's produce prodigious amounts of torque and horsepower, but the launch of the car isn't as hard as a big block. But get it up in the mid range and your car may end up facing a wall mid track without enough traction.

The everyman's 360 LA Eddy headed engine dyno tested

Following. I'm curious to see what it makes. Somewhere between 370 and 380 h.p is my guess. Small cam and the eddie heads wont make more because they want more cam.

    273 Supercharged...ITS HAPPENING PEOPLE!!

Well if the block is thick, and you have a factory forged crank plus good rods hell push the thing and see what it'll take! I know the factory 440 forged cranks routinely withstood 700 h.p,not sure what a small block crank will take.

Intake Mods, do they really work?

Mike,I am all too familiar with illness,as both myself and my wife have multiple sclerosis. I am more fortunate,as I took measures and took charge of my health. I have gotten back some of what I lost, but my wife has continued to slide downward. I really get it,the frustration, the expense,the...

    LD4B installation on a 75 318

How does it run? And have you asked about dual exhaust qualifying as an allowed modification according to this insurance company? Really get a kick in the pants boost in power from a 4 bbl and dual exhaust.

    Another low budget 360 build

Big stroke in that 360. Could pick up a few h.p on the cheap with oil control, get a windage tray. Big strokes wrap the crank in oil when winding rpm. Not sure what rpm a windage tray would come into effect? It may be more of a race thing than a street car thing.

    Is it a Special 360 ?

360 has some real grunt allright, due to that long stroke.

Truck motors will have exhaust valve rotator's,but that's all that was different about mine.

my Low dollar 318 hop-up project

I guess that's why edelbrocks new carbs come with an instruction manual and a chart in the back that helps to change the jets correctly. I didn't have a bog with my eddie,it was more on t he rich side. 2 steps down in jets and it was fixed.Obviously edelbrock is aware of the issue..

    Can someone explain stroker kits

Back in the day, before there were stroker kits, hot rodders did it themselves. Swapping a forged 440 rb crank into a B block was a common way to go,and still is.
