    They are both dot to dot , when I disassembled the engine I found that when the gears are dot to dot the distributor was pointing at #6 and ,so I got to looking into it and came up with the one full rotation of the engine one the dots are lined up for assembly , Have another question...

    Swapping the cam on my D300 with a 440. When I put #1 on tdc I found that the distributor rotor was pointing at #6. , but the crank and cam marks lined up, this was during disassembly,so from what I understand I should set the cam to crank timing and then rotate the engine one full rotation...

    Forgot to tell you the rest of the combo 750 holley with a one inch spacer which is only on there to help with the hot restart And thanks for the cam suggestion I will look into that one

    I have the stock 440 in my 78 d300 and I do use it to tow. Bone stock it was very very slow would gtec. In the low 18s installed the eddy performer intake, a set of hedmen headers recurvered the distributor. And msd ignition. And yes the ac is still all there and works great. Truck now...

    after a little research i agree just looking to make it run a little better / which it doesnt run to bad after the intake install it ran a 16.81 on the g-tec going to check cylinder pressure and then start looking for a small cam

    considering putting efi on my 360 the car is a street car but it runs 12.50 really like the efi but do want to give up any and i mean any power with your experience with do think it would cost me power or et at the track

    got a stock 440 in a 78 dodge d300 trying to milk all the performance i can out of it having trouble with the mechanical it just has to much and causes it to ping it goes as high as 50 with high rpm prolly 3500 or so is there a way to stop all the advance thanks for any help
