    what say you ?

If it ain't broke, it don't need to be fixed. You said you're not having any cooling issues the way it is. I'd leave it be.

    Radiator in front?

Jeff, here's the fix for your question - but it won't be inexpensive to do. All you have to do is major bodywork to change the hood on your Valiant to incorporate features similar in design to the Shelby Series 1. The cooling air comes in the front of the car, through the radiator and is...

    Who sells these radiators???

I'm guessing those radiators may be from Wizard Cooling. The 2014 Carlisle vendor listing starts on pg. 42 from the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals event guide: http://browndigital.bpc.com/publication/?i=215515 The Wizard Cooling website: http://www.wizardcooling.com/category-s/1828.htm

    68 hemi aluminum waterpump housing.

Here's what a quick web search found: 1 - Start by trying a commercial rust remover product such as Whink, CLR, naval jelly, Rust-Oxy or an organic rust remover. Apply with a cloth or a nylon scrubbing pad, rubbing to remove rust stains. These products are best for polished aluminum surfaces...

    Cabin Temp Tip

Do a 'Part Number Search' on www.rockauto.com and you'll see that Four Seasons PN 84706 can be purchased for $8.32. It also shows the application to be for 1969-70 Dodge A100, 1969-71 Dodge D100-D300 and W100-W300 pickups. Looks like a "winner" in my book. Thanks, 63valiant!

    Copper Tank vs. Plastic Tank

Just me but I prefer a larger core in the stock brass tanks. Of course, I like the old-school look of polished brass tanks.

    electric fan sensor location

How about fabricating a short sleeve with a threaded bung for the sensor to go in between the bottom radiator hose and the radiator? That would keep your wiring short and easy to hide as well as allowing your fans to turn on/off relative to the temp of the water exiting the radiator.

How do you tell for sure if fan is pusher, puller or both?

"Pusher" would be mounted in front of the radiator and "push" air through the radiator. "Puller" would be mounted in back of the radiator and "pull" air through the radiator. One fan can't be both a "pusher" and a "puller" in reference to moving outside air through the radiator.

What bolts to hold shroud to rad?

Boy, you're really taxing the memory here as I think back to my old '69 Dart. I may be wrong but I think they were some kind of clip and bolt combo. Sorry, but my current '69 Dart project didn't have a shroud on the radiator when I bought it.

Is it normal for a car with no overflow to dump a bit of antifreeze after a day

Common practice is to fill the radiator to within 1-inch of the top of the tank to allow for fluid expansion when hot. Fill it more than that and it will probably puke some out until it's 'happy'. Your overflow/catch bottle will solve the problem. A 'closed' system will also allow the engine...

    What is this!!!!??

The kit that comes with should also have another part that fits snugly in your radiator filler opening. It's a tube that directs the flush water up and over the front body when you're reverse flushing your cooling system. Keeps your radiator from looking like a decorative fountain spouting...

    A Body Radiator Interchangeability

    black or brass

First of all, yes, black does help dissipate heat. That's why back in the early '70s the 'cool' thing to do was paint your aluminum intake black to help dissipate engine heat and cool the intake charge. Some people did, but I just kept mine aluminum as it just looked so much better. I also...

If it's a stock-type shroud, it attaches using 4 bolts (2 on each side) with captured large-diameter washers. The bolt holes are in the shroud.
