Dreaded lid leak on new master cylinder...ideas?

You can always completely flush your brake system and replace the fluid with brand new DOT 5 fluid. DOT 5 is silicone based and non-hygroscopic (will not absorb moisture from the air). DOT 5 is also non-caustic and much gentler to your paint finish should you spill any - but you should still...

Anyone done Wilwoods on stock rotors?

The caliper and brake pad part numbers quoted in the Mopar Action article are no longer available. Summit Racing lists the following as replacements: Caliper PN 120-6815 (now a forged caliper) Brake Pad Set PN 150-8850K Total from either Summit or Jegs is just under $320 for calipers and...

OK, I am done, I hope PICTURES

Yup, just swap the calipers side for side - put the now driver-side caliper on the passenger-side and the bleeder valve will be on top. Bleeder must be on top or you'll never get all of the trapped air out.

You can't check the booster fluid level without first finding the booster dipstick. All the Chevy guys know that.

    Which kit?

Sorry I didn't jump right on posting a reply - Thursday is "bowling night", my one night out of the house during the week. Anyway, sounds like you have a good start on your suspension with the right components. But just because you have all the right parts doesn't mean they're working...

    Which kit?

Sorry, I've gotta get some new batteries for my crystal ball - I don't know what you've done suspension wise. Tell us all what your current suspension setup is.

    Which kit?

Depends on what you mean and what kind of racing you're talking about. OK, your engine is complete and at a fixed power level. If you're talking about drag racing then you're talking quicker (e.t.) rather than faster (mph). You need to concentrate on getting your existing power to the ground...

Will front disc brakes off a 69 dart fit a 74 scamp???

It's a common conversion to use LBP spindles and disc brakes from a '73-up A-body on '69 Darts. The very same conversion was done to my '69 Dart before I bought it. The LBP brakes on the '69 Dart you're looking at will fit perfectly on your '74 Scamp. Just make sure to verify they're large...

    Larger Rotor Brakes

Some good answers above, but the real increase in braking efficiency is due to the greater 'swept area' of the larger rotor. Because of the increase in diameter, the pad is in contact with more area (square inches of contact) of the rotor per revolution of the wheel. The larger the diameter of...

    Booster went out... going manual...help

Lots of reasons. Just to name a few: don't really need power brakes with the light weight of a-bodies; won't have enough vacuum with a big cam; cleans up the engine compartment big-time (better access to the driver-side valve cover. Heck, really don't need power steering either. I'm even...
