Any small tips to help ET?

I'd suggest maximizing your suspension first. You can't go either quick or fast if you can't get the power to the ground. All you're doing by spinning your tires is killing ET. Looser front shocks for better weight transfer. Adjustable pinion snubber - don't forget to reinforce the floor...

    six pack with nitrous questions

Makes sense as the middle 2 bbl is the 'primary' carb and should handle all requirements of part-throttle cruise. The end carbs should only come in as the 'secondaries' during full-throttle application.

    rear tires[ steaamm rollers]

I'll try to find some pics of my old '69 Dart racecar that I sold years ago - had 14x32's all stuffed under the body. The narrowed 8-3/4 was really narrowed. I had to drop the springs and raise the rear of the car in order to pull the slicks from under the stock-height rear wheel openings.

How about mid-20s? I wouldn't want to be a teenager today! Crappy clothes and lousy music.

    srt 10 truck engine

I read somewhere that the V10 was based on the LA block but don't know if that would ease things at all. I've got an all-iron V10 in my '95 Ram and the engine doesn't look all that much longer than a V8 but I've never measured it to know for sure. I know the automatic tranny behind the V10 is...

Looking for a little more power out of a 318

Check out the Oct. 2008 issue of Popular Hot Rodding magazine, they built a 400+ HP 318 on a budget. Good build with good results.

what size carb do i need?

If you add up all the 2-cents worth answers you get, you may end up with half-a-buck! My 2-cents also says go with an 850cfm carb on this combo. I ran a highly modified 340 on the street years ago in SoCal and a Holley 750dp couldn't keep it fed. Had to go to an 850dp to keep from running out...

    Living with 3.91's

Man those 340's must have been great to take up to 7000 rpms once the motor was blue printed. They were!!! Ran 4.89's in my old 340 Swinger on the street back in the early '70s - fun on the street and the track, but couldn't take it on the freeway with those gears. Currently building another...

    Performance Q's

Hey MOPARJ - Good time on your '69 B'Cuda. Waaaaaay back in the early '70's, my stock '69 340 Swinger ran 14.28 at OCIR in SoCal. Also with a 727 manually shifted at 6000rpm and a 3.23 non-SureGrip on Goodyear Polyglas tires. Sure do miss OCIR. It was known as the 'Supertrack' back then...

Old Edelbrock Tarantula Intake Any Good?

I'd keep the Tarantula and 3bbl just for the nostalgic look - and they should still work good as 'dusterdon' said. Geez, I haven't seen a 3bbl for years! You're gonna mystify a few people with that carb.

    iron heads for a 408?

I know this is really picky, but the correct spelling is 'pitot' tube. Sorry, too much time in the aircraft industry.
