@V8-valiant... Comfortable? They look supportive. Do you like them? Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

I like it! Pinstriping is such an art. Amazing what such a small amount of paint will do. Enjoy.

    Paint-------Finally! Now Interior

So sorry for your loss. Great work on the paint! That side spear hides the mismatch in body lines between the front fender and door quite well.

    B&M Shifter with a bench?

Sorry no pics. In the '69 340 Swinger I bought in November '69, I eventually put one of the old B&M Series 60 'chrome box' shifters in front of the bench seat. I'm 6'3" but my 'ex' was only 5'3". The shifter was installed with enough clearance to be able to pull the seat forward in case she...

Thoughts on this car for a project with my pops

Welcome to FABO from SoCal! One thing I found interesting from your pics is the chrome trim over the top of the car just at the front of the C-pillar and the apparent difference in paint condition of both sides of the trim. It makes me wonder if maybe this car had a partial vinyl top at one...

Get Running & Driving 2-1965 Dodge Dart

Dual point distributor is cool. I swapped one of those and the adjustable 273 rocker arm assemblies into my '69 340 Swinger 45+ years ago as a 'factory' performance upgrade.

    Anti Thief devices.... what works

On my first '69 Dart back in the very early '70s I mounted a 6" school bell under the battery tray in the engine compartment. It was armed by a key switch that was in the fenderwell over the left front tire. The bell was connected to the dome light switches. There were several early mornings I...

Tach Mounting and Placement help needed

Back in the very early 70s I mounted my tach (no 5" tachs back then) to the sunvisor bracket at the top of the a-pillar. It was easy to see and didn't block my vision. Unfortunately, the local police didn't care for the location and claimed it blocked vision and gave me a "fix-it" ticket. I...

reviving my dads old 65 dart drag car!

Hey Cody! Just saw this thread for the first time and love the build. Sorry you couldn't make it MATS this year, but are you going to try for 2016? We (Inland Mopars Car Club from SoCal) work the show each year and I'd love to see your dad's beautiful Dart at the 2016 event!

    Guess what I found

Corn nuts start out petrified! Those could be from yesterday. They're the thing my dentist loves best since they bring him the most patients. Better than candy or high-sugar sodas.

    Valiant Owners Post Here

Here's the '68 Valiant "400" Inland Mopars Car Club built as our charity-project car in 2008. Club members did all of the work except for paint and installation of the interior. We called it a "400" because it featured a 400 cid big-block, 727, and 8.75" rear. It also had complete RMS front...

    Old school trick???

Wow! Ancient memories brought back with the brake fluid on tires comments. Back in very early '71 I had a motor pool sergeant tell us to wipe down the tires on all our vehicles with brake fluid to make them all nice and shiny black for an upcoming inspection. He paid no attention to our...

    Embarrased that I'm asking

In the end, you almost have to make sure something slips and you bang your hand on something so you shed a little bit of blood. They never work unless you give a blood sacrifice.

    gas spilling-different than others

Another thing to consider is radiated heat from where you park your car. Asphalt sitting it open sun all day stores up a bunch of heat that it will radiate to your tank when you park the car. It doesn't have to be a hot day for the pavement to get scorching.
