    1969 Valiant Diary

Swifster, I had my 200-4R built by Extreme Automatics in Amelia, OH. They cut the factory bell off of the GM tranny and mount a Reid billet bell that mounts directly to a small block Mopar. Extreme Automatics billet transmission adapters. I had mine built as a reverse-pattern-manual-shift...

    1969 Valiant Diary

Hey Swifster, here's a pic of the finished 1968 Valiant "400" our Inland Mopars Car Club built as our charity benefit project car some years ago. It started as an Arizona car that was pretty rough when purchased but was able to be driven back to SoCal. We called the finished car a "Valiant...

1969 Race Dart w/ 426 Hemi- garaged for 45+ years

@69HemiDart - Please advise the part number for your selected Moroso breathers. I checked Summit.com but didn't see any with the threaded-in fittings. Thanks in advance.

1969 Race Dart w/ 426 Hemi- garaged for 45+ years

I like the looks of the Moroso air cleaners since they match the 'bling' of the chromed valve covers. The velocity stacks will give off more of a competition image. Of course, you can always run one thing on the street and change to something else while at a show with the hood up. Our club...

Beautiful Duster! I wish I had known it was going to be in Barstow...being in SoCal I would have made the drive out to put eyes on it.

Just as slow as before mods..

This isn't a major contributor to why it isn't any quicker, but why did you go with the Dana 60 behind a 318? The Dana is both heavier and 'eats' more horsepower than an 8.75" rear end. I bet it may have cost most than an equivalent 8.75.

    Original 1973 duster untouched!

Maybe not rare, but too nicely original to heavily modify. Your car, your money. But I'd keep and modify the slant as you see fit. But nothing that couldn't be put back to original. New seat cover to bring the interior back to stock appearing and new vinyl top. New wheels and tires and...

Denny - I see you have a jack alongside the right-side battery box. Are you also carrying a spare tire? If you are, then how involved is it to have to remove both battery boxes to get to the spare tire? Or do you have a sneaky trick for that? I like the look of two battery boxes, but wondering...

    1970 Plymouth Duster Project

Cool project! You mentioned in your first post that you found a set of 4.30 gears under the seats. Are they in good shape? I'm currently putting together a '69 Dart with a 360 small block and have 4.30 gears for my 8.75. My Dart is going to be mainly for street/highway weekend use. Let me...

Infiltrator Alert!! Someone is trying to sneak into FABO.

Beautiful Charger! The best body style to ever come out of Detroit. I wish I still had the '70 my 'ex' and I had years ago.

    My new ride, almost

Ya' gotta love hack jobs! That twin-snorkel air cleaner looks much better. Are you considering updating single-pot master cylinder to something that will provide a bunch more safety?

    1971 Dodge Demon

Hellrats - I suggest you keep a close eye on all repairs and work out a pay-as-you-go plan. My '69 Dart went into a reputable shop (recommended by a fellow car club buddy) about 4 years ago. My Dart was in his shop for over a year with some work progressing, then he suddenly stopped working on...

Looking good! Anxious to see final fit pics and pricing. Will they be able to be mounted to the block and installed as engine/trans/k-member from the bottom like ma-mopar did? Or are they too wide and should be installed to engine after the engine/trans/k-member are in place? How are you...

Hey Denny, I sure would be interested in brackets, Sanden A/C compressor and small compact P/S pump/reservoir as a package once you get it all scienced out. I've never liked the top-mounted AC and want to keep my 360 install clean. Let us know! THANKS!!!

1968 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback (old school build with a new school feel)

I'll be doing the same thing when my Dart comes back from paint. I'm going to center the 275/60/15 tires and wheels in the wheel wells and then measure wms to wms and then get the B-body 8.75 rearend narrowed accordingly - also will get the leafspring mounting pads relocated to fit the offset...

Congrats on a great find, halfafish! Now there are at least 3 '69 Dart build threads going on. Yours, @DentalDart, and my long overdue thread My '69 Dart Build - Finally I've been watching DentalDart's thread and will now be watching yours as well. I hope to post an update on my build thread soon.

    My new ride, almost

Congratulations on your new ride! I've always felt the 1st-gen Chargers had one of the best interiors to ever come out of Detroit - with the 4 individual buckets seats and the full-length console. Keep on posting pics of your '66 Charger here in FABO!
