I'm not sure about a Cuda but usually there is a little release button on the side of the switch push it . While holding it twist the knob to your left and pull it out.

Installed in a 1970 Dart with bench seat. Square plate welded to hump with tube sticking up 2". Light weight tube inserted over it drilled and bolted for correct height and angle.

I was told there should be two dimples for the inside rails of bucket seats in the floor boards in an original bench seat Dart. Haven't looked yet.
