This morning I pressed the Mahogany veneer into place, and applied some chrome edging to the inside 'track' of the dash and glove box bezels......Since this is fresh paint and fresh trim, I'll have excellent adhesion.....careful trimming brought it to life. You need to be sure to press this...

No hijack perceived........ It's good to see the other projects the guys are workin' on. I used the Killer Chrome on the Dart Sport project.........Stuff does look nice when it's prepped properly. The black base I mentioned was the Killer Black.........really nice black basecoat.

Well, we solved the elusive ignition problem, so the 67 is back on the road. Due to the wiring problem, I've had the dash apart for months.......Naturally, I was going to restore the dash bezel in the meantime, but my back is just now gettin' to the point where I can get back to work on...

Adam....... The previous post was spot on for these panels...... I've had some so bad that the edges were flaking.......They need to be cleaned up and "edged" (if they're that bad) with a bit of sandpaper, and the surface smoothed as well from the chalky texture.....gotta be careful not to...

You can overlay the "fake" factory woodgrain paint with real woodgrain veneer.........The car I pictured has been redone with real cherry wood......very aggressive adhesive.......Rolls Royce quality.

On my 60's A-Bodies, I install period correct NOS Craig FM/8 Track units under the dash (they slide out of the harness for quick removal), and stock AM Radio's. Might not seem like much........Until you crank it, that is. They sound Great. 6X9 ovals on the rear deck (stock configuration)...
