Was the harness homemade or a new aftermarket one?

So, is that like a plastic cover or cap with the vinyl wrapped over it or is it padded like the originals were?

Picture of the other side? If not steel core, what is the core?

Delrin is a trade name Dupont/Celanese has on their acetal or POM (polyoxymethacrylate) plastic. It is known for its inherent lubricity, so painting it might be a challenge. Regarding UV stability, SOME grades of Delrin are UV stabilized, MOST are not.
