Just as slow as before mods..

    1. Go down the parts house and get a timing light. (You can probably rent one) Let's see where the initial timing is at as well as total. 2. Rent a compression tester and let's see what the cranking compression is. 3. Have to sort out the throttle opening.

Just as slow as before mods..

You do have a Lokar Kickdown cable. What was suggested was the correct Edelbrock throttle arm bracket as well as the Lokar cable bracket. Just makes things simpler. Did your guy address the throttle opening?

    Something followed me home..

Your adventure with your car sounds like mine. I swear my car.hates me also. It was my first car, bought when I was 15, lost in 2003,.bought it back 10 years later. Been working on it ever since. Had it running, pulled motor to do body and paint, somehow got water in the cylinders, pitted beyond...

Nice progress. I'm going through the same thing now. Edelbrock heads on my 340 and I believe we have the same cam (xe268H). Curious how it performs.

Gotta add the stripe, I opted for no go wing and I painted the hood gloss. Here a different shot.

Hey @Dusterdude72! I have to tell you, this thread was a giant inspiration and motivater for my build. Glad to see you back around. The forums are still way better than any social media.

    Gas pedal assembly

Gotcha. Might be easier to pick up a manual pushrod. I also have his master and my stock pushrod. 4 wheel manual disc

    Gas pedal assembly

Is your brake light switch adjustable? On my 70 Dart, There is a small bolt that holds the switch in place with a hold down bracket. If you loosen it, it will slide. I've had to re adjust mine, so the lights go out. Why the adjustable brake rod? Manual or power brakes what master?

We still use regular old rock for the roads, and that is even if they use it. We hardly get any snow.

In Oregon, roads aren't salted. We hardly see any corrosion. Most of the rust we see is when cars are parked in fields or under trees for years. Lol.

Come to Southern Oregon, Doc! We have great weather, hardly any snow in the winter, nice summers. An hour drive will get you to a multitude of lakes in the summer or mountains in the winter. Two hours will get you to the beach. Southern Oregon is pretty conservative, not like our wacky...

    My first car 72 Scamp

Great story. Love the pictures. I can totally relate. I still have my first car, bought when I was 15, although we were separated for a few years(see my build thread). Having kids definitely is challenging balancing the time. I spend most of my time after everyone goes to bed (on the weekends)...

Looking good! Hope that's the last piece of the puzzle. For now!! On a side note, does your oldest use a lap belt with her booster? My son is 7 and I'm racking my brain on seat belts for him to ride.

Oh gotcha! Yea, the rear track width does increase. Your problem now is the front brakes dragging?
  27. plumkrazee70

    Dartin for Divorce

The rear wheels wouldn't stop when the car was on stands. They would slow, but not stop. I bled them about 6 times different times, power bleeder, pump and hold, gravity and nothing helped. I then gave up, lol. I needed an alignment anyway so it worked out. The pedal feel is night and day...

Well, I feel foolish!!! He just called and found that the banjo bolt on the rear was leaking. He found that the copper washer had a nub on it, so he replaced it and all is well! Man I've been banging my head for months on this. I guess it pays to have a lift where you can really get in there...
