Maybe not...but it's definitely not a Mopar snap ring.

Part Question for Auto Trans Gurus

I agree, never seen a spiral snap ring in any Mopar trans I have done. Looks like a GM snap ring from a TH400

    Stupid me...

Your picture shows rear facing for Caroline "V" which in the factory manual I believe that stands for Valiant so, it's rear facing.

New TCI Streetfighter won‘t shift in 3rd when hot

Sounds like the inner lip seal on the direct drum to me. Ask me how I know. Just to throw in my 2 cents also...I always use ATF+4.

    727 Problem

Have you drove it? Does it shift into 3rd when driving it? If not my guess would be the inner lip seal in the direct drum is allowing fluid past it. Most kits you buy nowadays have a thicker direct drum lip seal as the factory one was on the small side but, this seal is usually in a seperate bag...

    2 destroyed starters in a row...WTH?

I agree, looks to me like the top was moving around. Since this is a stud are you sure it's actually tight and, not just running out of threads since it's not threaded all the way down? Are you getting it slightly cocked and tightening the bottom bolt all the way before tightening the top? I...

    Chasing vibration...help!!

It's clearly a drivetrain issue, if I move tires around I wont feel any difference. You would have to ride in it to understand. I have also noticed some times when I let out of the throttle it seems to go away immediately....but only sometimes..??

Ok got a weird symptom from the new A500

I agree with this post...let the converter fill up by putting it in neutral after you start the car for 15 to 20 seconds...then try it.

    8.75 question

Thanks...the more I think about how things went together the more I'm sure this is what is happened to mine. I looked at the pinion and it does have the radius and I noticed when I tore it apart the shims were kind of funky...like bent up some. I originally thought shims were bent somehow with...
