(65 Barracuda)What is the largest 15" rear tire I can run without tubs/rubbing?

We moved the springs in 5/8” against the frame and moved the entire assembly rearward 3/4” to center the wheels in the wheel wells. Still room to run 2-1/4” duals all the way back. 275/60/15 on a 15 x 8 with 4.5 back space. Tight but alright.

    Magnum 500's on duster

If not for the bolt pattern difference, I personally think Chrysler would have sold even more A bodies if the magnum 500 was a factory option. Beautiful combo of car and wheel.

We thought about mini tub and Jason's. But it would affectively keep us from ever putting tail pipes on the With the factory gas tank . So we decided against it and went this route. That's a little tall for my tastes. LOL but definitely tough looking no doubt

Articulation is where it came the closest to touching. We will see. We can always go with a 255/60/15 if this doesn't work. I will keep posting results as we find out more.

The springs are pretty stiff, and the fender lips are rolled smoothly. We will see how it rolls out. On "push" testing, we have a lot of up and down clerance, and side to side takes a lot of movement to come closer. We never got the sidewall to touch

Yeah. Lol. It is. Today was just mock up. Now we have to completely disassemble the rear suspension, paint, and detail all the parts, and reassemble.

Springs moved in 1/2" per side. And wheel lips rolled are the only nescessary modifications. We also spaced the front hangers rearward 3/4". Wheels are 15 x 8 with 4.5" of back spacing. 8.8 cut down to factory A body length. 1/4" to spring, 1/2" to rolled lip. Tight but alright.

Thank you. These are the VN105D. The link you posted look almost identical to Jason's wheels. eBay had a 20% off sale Friday. We bought them from summit racing and got 20% off. They were a smoking deal. I didn't want to buy them this soon, but with that deal we kinda had to. Lol. Now to...

I greatly appreciate the trouble your going to. If you ordered large bolt pattern a body axles, and they fit, I don't think it can be any thing other than an a body housing. But an overall width measurement would be awsome. Thank you again. Very very much. Eric

1964 valiant. 255/60/15 drag radial. Stock spring location. Stock wheel wells. 15 x 7 with 4.25 or 4.5 back space. I can't remember. Fits really well. 255 drag radial is within a 1/2" section width of a standard 275. I will report back as soon as we get it done. Right now the plan is to...

And the brake conversion was easy. Same knuckles and lower ball joints as a 73-76 a body. We used ball joint spacers from dr Diff, factory upper joints, lower 73 dart joints, and stock tie rod ends.

Thanks. Beautiful car. What size and backspace are your rear wheels? We're using offset hangers, but not mini tubbing. I think a 275 will fit on the rear, but will be tight for us. We will post our results. I do know for a fact that a 255 drag radial fits very well in a stock wheel well...
