So bear with my stupidity --but does this piece fits over top of the striker pin ? Or is it welded in behind the pin in the rear door panel ? I'm trying to look at it and see how it fits -- my door jamb is good it's along side of the striker pin that has the rust / cracks Appreciate it Punchy
