Thanks Darter6.
No drain plug, stock converter. I'm kind of a dumb *** sometimes.
What's the best way to drain the extra fluid? Pull the drive shaft??
Thanks.
Jim
Put a fresh 904 on the 66 I'm working on and reused the original torque tube. I put five in the pan, started in neutral then added four and checked it. I'm over on the stick by about two inches. So the question is, how much fluid stayed in the tc? Should I or could I have cleared all the fluid...
Have the accelerator cable as well. So, the next question, did you cut the small clevis off the end of the Lokar cable and run the teardrop through the accelerator plate? (as the original)? If not, how did you make the connection at the pedal?
Thanks.
Jim
I'm putting one in a 66 dart. 318 car, 904 trans. Did you have to trim the outer case? I'm just mocking it up not before I put the engine and trans in. Looks like the cacle itself might be a bit short on the carb side??
Thanks.
Jim
I'm going to resurrect this thread. I'm putting together a 66 dart gt convertible originally a 273 car. Now, it has a 318 and 904 trans out of a 77 volare. I had the trans rebuilt and it has a three prong nss. Do I need to change that for a single prong switch for a 66?
Thanks.

Any idea which throttle pin adapter I need for a carter AVS 600??? I do have and decided to use the Lokar kick down and throttle cable. Have the bracket, just not sure which adapter to put on the carb? I've looked at summit but they're not very specific?
Thanks.

I'm confused, again! 66 Dart convertible, was a 273 car, now a 318 4 bbl with 360 heads. Console shift, 904. So with this mix, which kickdown do I need to use? What have others used in this setup? Help/advice is appreciated!

I have the same problem with the speedo in my 71 Dart. 14 to 15 inch conversion. How do I find which is the correct gear and where can I get one???
Thanks
Cope racing transmissions. Just did my 904, awesome, not a problem. But, you being in Washington, freight might kill you. But John Cope knows the Mopars.
Comp did the cam. don't know exactly what this means, but it says.
GVL .475
tappet lift 273 279
Duration @ .050 224 230
Lobe lift .3170 .3170
Lobe seperation 110.0
Based on that and 10:1 pump gas they put me at 2500 stall.
Don't plan any time at the strip, just want to do...
