I got a locker in my amx, it makes a bit of noise around corners, once you learn to drive around the corners with a bit of gas it will stay locked up. So far it has held up and it gets beat on pretty good

front bearing is probably a good guess... the pilot shaft i could see making noise when the clutch is disengaged allowing free play of the clutch disk and etc. But with the clutch engaged locks up the disk to the flywheel making shaft main shaft spin the same speed so the shaft is spinning same...

Yea, I just come across when a throw out bearing goes bad it makes the noise when pushing the clutch pedal. Only time the throw out bearing should be spinning is when clutch is engaged.. So if the noise is happening in neutral, foot off the clutch pedal the throw out shouldn't be spinning...

wonder why everyone else's is so quiet, i have one in my amc 20 rear and its loud. i know its set up right. It mostly clicks but sometimes on a hard 90 turn up hill where i need power it clicks then bangs in loud when it engages. I know it lays rubber from both all the time... and can do donuts...

its more then slight.. i have one in my amx and people think the rear is broke when i turn out of gas station or anywhere.... they do work good though. i can do donuts and posi marks like no tomorrow

i agree there not the strongest trannys but they have overdrive and easy to get. cheaper then a tko or... only reason there is one in my vega is because a munci 4 speed broke 2nd gear teeth behind motor i have in it now. and munci is suppose to be the best. i put a a 3 speed chevy in it so...

i run a t5 behind a built 368 amc in amx... a t5 behind a stock amx and a chevy t5 in a vega with 150 shot and no problems.... main thing it no side stepping clutch to do burn outs, missing gears... wheel hop... and if they do break common enough to find a replacement... helps i got two of them...
