    Hemi Swap Info

That's awesome that you are doing this, I used ALOT of help from people on fabo to get mine together, and it can only help parts availability to have more people tackle this swap. I had my car at Mopar Nats this year, and was blown away at how relatively scarce these swaps still are. There was...

74 Scamp gen 3 swap help

Although I made my own harness from a factory one, I'm pretty sure it's similar to the Hotwire setup. I used a Hotwire PCM and it's been troublefree and they were great to deal with. For a stock daily driver style build I would highly reccomend this setup. My build thread is in my sig, I went...

2009 5.7 swap no low side drivers

That could be, I'd have to look at the schematic again, but that sounds reasonable. I had a similar pin that I hooked up to 12v all the time just to get it running. Then I forgot to put it on a switched circuit and had a huge parasitic draw, pcm never went to sleep:) It was a last minute get...

2009 5.7 swap no low side drivers

How are you doing the ignition switch? Are you using the original switch duster switch, or the newer stuff? You may try bypassing the ignition switch with a toggle and a separate push button to see if your original switch is cutting ignition power during cranking. I don't know what else it...

2009 5.7 swap no low side drivers

I'm not sure if you are using the TIPM from the ram, but it looks like it needs a signal from the hood ajar switch, may try jumping those terminals.

2009 5.7 swap no low side drivers

Edit, I think it powered the asd, but wouldn't pulse the injectors, I can't remember for sure, but I pulled my hair out for a few days at least!

2009 5.7 swap no low side drivers

Are you running the start signal from the ign switch to the PCM and having the PCM control starting? I had a similar issue on the 2005 PCM, it won't power the asd after the initial 2 seconds until it sees start request and rpm, jumping the starter won't start it. I haven't looked into the...

    Which manifolds? 2014 5.7

Thanks! We lucked out with the accident, got it back together quickly and definitely have been enjoying it. Ohio winter is coming any minute now though :banghead:

    Which manifolds? 2014 5.7

I used 06 grand Cherokee ones, I think you would need 09 or10 grand Cherokee manifolds for your newer ports. I'm not 100% sure the 09 and 10s are shaped exactly like mine, but they didn't change the body on jeeps until 11, so it makes sense that they would be the same exit points.

    Which manifolds? 2014 5.7

I did make the jeep manifolds work, quite a bit of test fitting and grinding, but I'm on a cheap *** budget and it was worth it for me. My engine is stock, and for now it runs good enough that my main issue is traction! If you plan on engine upgrades, headers are probably the way to go if you...

    pedal wiring

Not sure about the under dash harnesses, mine was separate from the harness I got on ebay, I snipped my pedal pigtail from an 04 Durango in a pull and pay junk yard and spliced them into the harness.

    Oil filter relocation kit

I personally wanted to have the factory spin on filter if possible, just to eliminate having to locate a remote filter in the already cramped a body. It probably wouldn't have affected my decision because I'm okay with cutting stuff :)

    Oil filter relocation kit

On my 69 A body biscuit k I used the angle adapter. Had to notch the k, even with the small filter when using tti mounts. Also had to trim my biscuit, wasn't a huge deal as I used solid small block mounts.

None of the dealer scan tools (drb3, starscan, star mobile, witech) can eliminate security that I'm aware of, unfortunately.

Question on speed sensor & standard transmission

I'm not sure as well, but I can tell you what I'm experiencing with my car. 5.7, Dakota ax15, no speed sensor, modified factory harness, hotwire PCM, bypassed clutch switch. When I shove in the clutch coming to a stop, the car will stall unless I blip the throttle, runs great otherwise. May be...

    6.4 Jeep SRT8 Exhaust Manifolds

I'm not sure if I did much, as long as there isn't much variation in the tti mounts. I just used those, along with solid steel insulators instead of rubber. Mostly to keep the engine where it was, everything is really tight. The manifold I might have ground down around the steering box, and I...

    It's alive!!!!

Nice! Congrats on getting it on the road, that first burnout is a hell of a feeling after all the work. Just put a new pinion seal in my dart tonight so I can resume the abuse!

70 Duster Eagle Hemi Swap, No Spark!

You may not be that far off, I would take the harness and try to plug it onto your engine. You may have to extend some wires for the 6.1 intake or change some connectors because of year changes, but nothing too bad. I started with an 07 mds jeep harness and converted it to the non mds 04 truck...

70 Duster Eagle Hemi Swap, No Spark!

I never drew the whole thing out originally, because I was in the experimenting phase as well! I would definitely help as much as I can, feel free to ask or pm me for more details. As long as you know what year engine, PCM, and harness you are starting with, I should be able to help or at...

Opinions please- new hemi or 408?

Use the pilot bearing from a magnum era truck (96 ram 5.9 etc) it fits in the torque converter register.

Opinions please- new hemi or 408?

I agree^^. It depends on how close your car is to being drivable. If you could drop your 408 and drive it this year do that, while collecting parts for a hemi swap. If you have the car down to the bones, do the hemi, as long as you like challenges!

cheapest way to get hemi 3g going?

The grand Cherokee manifolds you want are around 06-07 vintage, 5.7 only no 6.1. They fit with some grinding and test fitting, but are tight (as is everything, lol). I got mine from the dealer new for under $60 each. I don't know if anyone is flashing pcms for $100, that would be sweet if...

    Anyone with power steering?

You might try looking at late eighties diplomats and maybe trucks. For my magnum swap, I used a hose from an 86 diplomat, has metric on pump end, but standard on the steering box end. Not sure what size the hemi stuff is, but it's worth a shot. Usually has to be something in the goofy...

Hotwire harness-how to get around the 12v at start

Sorry, not the best pic! The brown loop of wire jumps from the ign1 to ign2, and it is just crimped into the connectors on the underhood bulkhead connector. I hope this works for you guys because it is a super easy fix!
