finally ordered a pulley and it lined up perfectly. it was just the wrong "offset" works now, just gotta reposition my alt now. also got my flexible dipstick tube for 727...so close to being done...

i cant remember if it came off of the early 70s/late 60s d100 or the same year fury 2 with ac.... id say they were an early la engine.. i planned on getting a new pulley anyway..i think this is a good time to do it.

here is a pic. i plan on ordering a chrome pulley from mancini..but if i have the same problem i dont know if it would work.. its only offset by about 1/8 inch.

its a waterpump ive had. looks new. maybe i have the wrong pulley? what is the distance between the front and back part of your pulley? ive tried the other pulley i have but it had the same result. the alt wont be a good way to gauge it, as its not the stock one..im using an aftermarket one...

ok..so ive noticed my crank pulley is off alignment from my water pump pulley. its further back. i bought the chrome mancini racing pulley thinking i had wrong pulley on there..but same offset. it will be single grove pulley, no ac or ps do i need the crank pulley spacer i see on mancini?

ok, i have 2 360 motors. one is an early 70s, the other is an 85. does a re-ring (bearings, rings, cam, rods, gaskets, etc) kit work with both, or do i have to have a year specific kit? right now the 85 is together, so i want to rebuild the early 70s one. the one i rebuild will have aftermarket...

can someon reccoment a good cam for a 360 that seems to be for the most part stock, with a torker 2 intake? i had one picked out but i think its a little too extreme for what i want. i need a convertor too. my rearend is 4:10 but soon plan on putting in 3.55s

did yours come stock with 2.02s?

also they have had some headwork done to them, not sure how much, but the emissions stuff was removed and etc. i dont need anything radical now, just something thats not going to choke it out. ill post the cam im considering getting tonight.

i just bought a mostly complete 1973 360 with what seems to be early 80 heads (has the 360 cast on top of them) is this common or a good thing to have? guy i got the motor from didnt know much about it, it looks mostly refreshed. i also plan to randomly update this thread with questions...
