This is very true and is more noticable on metallic colors. All the above mentioned plus supply air pressure,distance.overlap and speed of travel cause color variations. Personally, I don't have the grapes to panel paint any color car........well maybe a solid black.....lol

Like crackedback mentioned, condensation could be a factor, and it is the quickest way to F up a paint job. Try to find an inline air dryer that takes dessicant pucks to remove the moisture in the lines. Get an automatic valve on the bottom of you air tank that will drain the tank when there is...

No, the two fenders are the same with the exception of the marker light you mentioned. I am using a 1975 fender on a 1971 Duster. I just cut out the marker light opening from my original fender......

No problem.....except I never answered your question. I'd use 600 grit wet.

Before you do any blocking, take a razor blade with 3/4" tape on either side.Lightly scrape away the excess clear,the tape will keep you from taking off too much material.......paitence is the key.
