Ok here it is. I started at 6 p.m. and just finished at 7:40 pm. I know it is not perfect but is close enough to make it fit. This is the first time I have ever fabricated anything. I need to figure out a way to make some beads and it will be good enough. And it cost a grand total of $0!!!!

Cool, beads are very easy to make.I lay out where I want them using a sharpie then with a very dull chisel and small hammer I gently crease the surface then I have a small piece of round stock welded to a piece of flat bar I hold the flat bar as a handle and tap the end of flat bar driving down on it pushing round bar into the sheet metal, work slowly and many passes don't hurry after a few minutes you'll have a nice looking job.Oh and by the way lay your piece in a small box of sand this worked for me.

That looks like a damn fine job. Be proud:cheers:

I will have to make a set for my 66 as they dont re-pop them. This thread has me on my way to know how to make the beads. Thanks.

Google Ron Fournier metal work lots of info in this book.

Yeah my work is alot cheaper then AMD or Stephens Performance. Mine aren't perfect but I am happy with the fact that I actually pulled it off on the first try. I will tweak and modify as I install but all in all it is a good starting point. I think now I will try to make my own trunk floor as well lower quarters.:toothy10::toothy10::toothy10::toothy10:

Well I did some more tweaking and it fits really well. I will get some more pics a little later.

Nice Job. Saved a few $$ to. It only takes some time to make pieces like that. Again, Great Job. :toothy10:
