@inertia - Now that you mention that, all three of those bolts are still out - lying on the bench. I only had the column supported by the underside. Tmrw I'll thread them in a bit and and see if that perhaps helps out keeping the column shaft straight?

@CFD244 - So you're saying I should disconnect the box from the shaft to reattach the crush can?

My new 71 demon had the round rally gauges swapped out for rectangular 72's. Whats invloved in getting them back to stock? Do I have to change the whole dash out (steel dash frame?) or just parts of it? Also, how about wiring harnesses? Thanks in advance
