I don't have any paperwork for this car, so what it came with originally is impossible to tell. My dad owned the car for 15 years or so and was like that when he bought it. It is possible it was converted to manual steering for header clearance, I don't know.

Come on guys, manual steering does not have a power steering pump.

I have a small block 74 Cuda with AC and manual steering. It has a redneck engineered idler pully in place of the power steering pump pulley. Does anyone have a picture of the stock idler pulley bracket for a small block they can share with me, preferably a picture on the engine would be helpful.

Although I went with FI. I wanted my engine to look period correct, hence the v-belts. Although I also wanted a smaller compressor, so compromised with a newer style compressor.

Installed running engine with Holley Sniper EFI.

Brackets I made for my Sanden on my 408 Magnum. Brackets started out from a mid-eighties truck small block.

Brackets were off an LA, not a mag. My 408 is based off a mag with EQ heads.

My 408 has an LD340 manifold and I was able to modify eighties truck AC brackets to work.

The mechanical fuel pump must go for sure to mount it low. I choose to mount mine high. I used some 80's truck brackets and modified them to work with a Sanden style compressor. It is a very tight fit up high but works. Rod

I modified a pipe nipple to install a temperature sensor for my EFI on the coolant bypass. Seems to work fine. I didn't have an extra port on my LD340 manifold and I elected not to drill a new hole in the manifold. This was a pretty easy mod. Rod

You might take a trip to a local junk yard and lock for a small block in an eighties truck that has AC and snag the brackets. Just a thought.

I found that the issue with using the Dodge pickup AC compressor was it wouldn't work with my Edelbrock LD340 manifold. The location of the thermostat housing varies with aftermarket manifolds.

I modified ac brackets off a middle 80's Dodge Pickup to fit a Sanden shorty on my 360. It was fairly basic. You will need handtools and a welder to do this. Rod

After researching a bit....I am going with an adjustable thermostat to kick on both fans at once and a circuit to allow the AC to kick on the fans whenever the AC switch is on. I am also going to put in an override switch inside the cab so I can turn the fans on whenever I want to. Thanks for...

I am not sure if I want to wire my two fans so that they kick on together or have two sensors so that the fans kick on at different temps. The down side to two sensors is a little more cost and a little more wiring. What is the downside on having both fans kick on at the same temp? Thanks, Rod

Bought a 90 degree fitting for the heater hose and verified it will route under the compressor and bought some 3/16 steel to modify the brackets. Don't see any reason why it won't work rotating the compressor a bit. Rod
