where to purchase template to drill flywheel

I am not going to argue with Mr. Brewer! I think those weights are for the flywheel sold by 440 Source though and not a cast flywheel as stated by Mr. Brewer.

    Shifter Bracket, stock?

Saw this shifter and bracket at a swap meet this morning. Seller says it is a stock piece. Anybody seen this before? I thought it was a homemade bracket to mount a four-speed shifter on a forward mount B-body tranny placed into an A-body.

    Removable floor hump.

I don’t think it buys you much, would have to pull up the carpet, if a street car, to get it out.

Weird noise after 4 speed install

If you are inexperienced, I would probably take the drive shaft to another shop for inspection and balance check. That would rule out the drive shaft being the problem.

Weird noise after 4 speed install

Since you don’t have a two piece driveshaft, no slip joint in the center, it would only be out of phase if it was welded up incorrectly. Slim chance the shop did that, but is possible.

Weird noise after 4 speed install

    Are the u-joints phased properly?

Weird noise after 4 speed install

My first guess would be a u-joint that is binding. Although I assume it was fine behind the auto. No mods to the driveshaft?

What fluid for a 4-speed trans?

CRUZE 418 is right, you will get a hundred different answers. I have always used ATF with no issues.

    manuel swap

I converted my 71 Barracuda to a four speed from a column shifted 904. Although I didn't think it was that hard, it was fairly expensive. An overdrive auto would have cheaper and easier.

    4 speed install on 68 Dart, 440 6 pack

When I had a 440+6 in my 69 383-s, no modifications to the air cleaner was necessary for the wiper motor, although it did sit right up against the wiper motor.

    Help identifying A-833 Trans

From Brewers website. History of the A833 Chrysler Four Speed Transmission Chrysler's first factory-installed four-speed transmission (1963) was the Borg Warner T-10. It didn't take long for the engineers at Chrysler to conclude a stronger and more durable transmission was needed, and the New...

    Drilling my Zbar??

Maybe the positioning of the attachment point on the clutch pedal is jacked. If it is positioned incorrectly, it will affect the overall throw as well.

    833 for A body

People have put in a B-body A833 in an A-body, the shifter is in the wrong location, but people have made a bracket to get the shifter in the A-body position. Probably already had the transmission and wanted it to work. You are probably better off to get an A-body A833, preferably a 68 or later...

    Length of clutch fork?

I put 2" CPPA headers on my 440 in my 69 383-s Barracuda back in the late eighties and had to shorten the clutch fork slightly. Really no big deal. It does shorten the leverage arm of the fork but wasn't really noticeable. It is preferred that the clutch adjustment rod be in a straight line with...
