    Carb Selection

I'm a big fan of the Quick Fuel -AN carbs. They have annular boosters which makes a big difference for street driving and throttle response. The QF carbs are a little nicer than the Holley's, too, IMO.

    Electric fuel pump recomendation?

I just bought an Edelbrock 1791 that replaced a Holley blue that started leaking from the pump shaft seal. It's great. Whisper quiet, has a built in adjustable regulator, and flows 10gph more than the Holley does.

tell me what kind of carburetor should I buy

I'm a fan of Quick Fuel. They're reasonably priced, and have more adjustability than a standard Holley DP. It's what I'm running on my 390, and I love it.

Edelbrock Thunder series 800 on 408 stroker???

I would opt for the Quick Fuel 800 or even a "little" 750. I'm running one on my 390 with a big *** cam, and it has street manners along with running right on the big end. I pretty much did the same with mine. I ran a new line up to the front of the car, though, instead of keeping the 5/16 stock line.

    Choosing the right carb

The calculators are a guideline that do the math for you. Call QFT and talk to them. They know their product, and know engines in general. I also wouldn't go less than a 750. I'd also highly recommend the annular boosters too. They atomize the fuel a bit better, and that helps improve your...

    Choosing the right carb

No. I bought mine from Summit and set it up myself. It was really easy to set up.

    Choosing the right carb

I am running a Q750 mechanical secondary on my 390CID stroker. I absolutely love that carb. It is reliable, easy to tune, and not that expensive for what it is. You'll like it a lot better than a vacuum secondary. http://www.4secondsflat.com/Carb_CFM_Calculator.html That will help you...
