'76 D100 83/4 rear end good or bad?

Wonder what it would cost to have the housing narrowed down to A-body width? You may want to check the axles out that rear. They may be the ones people cut down to A-body width to get the large bolt pattern. Heck, the brakes are sought out too...

    Rear-end Yoke question

I talked with Denny's a few days ago and he claimed he had that yoke. Try this link: http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/c7_pinion_yokes__transfer_case_yokes.html

    Weird Rumble

I had a broken tranny mount on my 318 that would allow the tranny to make a druming noise under the floor hump on idle and slight acceleration. In neutral it would go away (no torque on the engine). You may want to check that out.

    **Anybody use the 727 Specialist**

I've bought from him. I have not installed the tranny yet, so I don't know how well he built it. Went with a basic build for the street with quality internals. Price was right on the money, had great communication and shipped when promised strapped and wrapped on a pallet.

    72 Duster Rear Axle

This should help. Best for street driven mopar with small bolt pattern is the 8 3/4... you can get axles for it too in case you want large bolt pattern. Next is 8 1/4 found in 73 up A-bodies.

You can buy the one metal mount for the driver side 340 from schumacher seperately if you have good rubber mounts. They don't advertise it, but it is available.

    netural safty switch

My reverse lights were on a seperate switch on the steering column (when it was column shift)... of course, mine is a 68. The neutral safety switch on my car was a single contact that only took care of starting the engine. Is the 69 different? My column had a switch located on the steering...

    small bolt 8 3/4 a body rear

When I converted my 8 3/4 over to large bolt pattern, I found a van in the salvage yard with 11" brakes and the proper tapered axles to have cut. Moser cut them and installed my bearings for me and I have been cruising on them since (well, until I started the 2nd restoration). Now that Moser...

depressing newbe question of the day

Ok, Is the sound like heavy drumming/thumping from the hump area of the floor or a real metal to metal sound? It could be a bad transmission mount (easy fix) that could be letting the transmission shift around or up and hit the floor on heavy acceleration and also letting the u-joint hit the...

    7.25 vs 8.75 from factory with a 318

Check to see if it has any sort of towing package... I have also heard that manual transmission cars were more likely to have an 8 3/4.
