    Wizard cooling radiators

Here you go: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=175231 At this point, I'm running hot. I believe I have a combination of a timing and a lean condition created by boiling gas. More on that later.

My new Wizard Cooling Radiator- 68 Barracuda

Thank you! I actually got to drive it a little bit today. Still working out bugs such as fuel boiling in the fuel filter. I don't have any sort of insulator gasket between the intake and the edelbrock carb, so I'm trying that first. Next is to upgrade the 5/16 inch line from tank to...

My new Wizard Cooling Radiator- 68 Barracuda

Went to my local autoparts store and found the correct fitting. Found a bolt that screwed in the radiator (for size purposes) and took one of the fittings out of the old radiator (for the tranny line size). Had a bunch in the back that worked. It is just a little brass screw-in adapter. Get...

My new Wizard Cooling Radiator- 68 Barracuda

The original radiator tank design overhangs on the fan side of the radiator by about 3/4". The original shroud bolted up fine to the aluminum radiator and would have functioned properly, but it left a 3/4" gap on the top since it was designed to work with that overhang I mentioned. The...

My new Wizard Cooling Radiator- 68 Barracuda

For a 67? Kinda... a 67's upper hose was slightly more center than the 68-69. Of course the easy fix would be to us a 68 upper hose.

My new Wizard Cooling Radiator- 68 Barracuda

Update! I decided I didn't like the way the original shroud looked on the car, so I ordered their shroud that goes with this radiator. I also purchased one of those stainless overflow tanks (I think mine is 2 inches by 15 inches). It fits in the corner of the radiator pretty well. I highly...

Chrome O-ring Water Neck (Thermostat Housing)

Thanks, I ordered the one Dusted72 recommended. Makes sense to keep an aluminum housing on an aluminum intake! Thanks!

Chrome O-ring Water Neck (Thermostat Housing)

Ok, my LD340 intake is flat- no recess for the thermostat. My new o-ring water neck is also flat- no recess. Do I have to buy a new waterneck or should it seal ok? I'm using a stock thermostat. Anyone with any experience on these?

My new Wizard Cooling Radiator- 68 Barracuda

I'm going to hold on to my original radiator. At some point I may build another Barracuda (I would love to have a daily driver convertible) or put it back in my car if needed. I have some time and money in the original one and I'm not ready to let it go quite yet. Still works pretty good.

My new Wizard Cooling Radiator- 68 Barracuda

I just had my Barracuda radiator delivered! The first one I ordered from their latest catalog (part# 1639) didn't fit (bottom tank too deep), so I happened to stumble on an old website where they had a different radiator photograph that matched my stock radiator size. After a couple of phone...

    NEW radiator

Yeah, be careful on the part numbers. The first one they sent to me which they listed for a 68 Barracuda didn't fit. The bottom tank was too big and hit the bottom. I luckily saw an old photo from their old site that had a different part number. I called and they sent me the drawings and...

    NEW radiator

I got my radiator from them today. Unfortunately it doesn't fit. I have contacted Tom and compared their numbers to my original radiator. They are going to build mine to correct a couple of design issues. So far they have been very good to work with. Most of the issues seem to be the bottom...

    Yearone heater core...

Year One is mostly a middle man. They buy from a bunch of different distributors and companies that you can normally find quite easily with a few Google searches. Same with Classic Industries, but normally Classic Industries has competitive prices.

    Wtfo?

Out of curiousity, did you drill the small "burp" hole in the thermostat before you installed it? Maybe it was a combo of both a released air bubble when the thermostat actually opened up. If there was an air bubble at the thermostat, it may have prevented the thermostat from opening at the...

Thermostat opened? Possibly stuck and then released?

    Aftermarket Air 69 Dart 340-6pak

Classic Air buys their A/C brackets from Bouchillon Performance which by the way, doesn't list all the brackets they carry. You may want to contact them and find out if anything is in the works.

Barracuda A/C vents install- pics needed

Wow! Looks familiar! Actually, I'm trying to make sure I get the centering correct. The dash has no holes at the time for the bracket that mounts on before bolting on the vents. Can you provide a measurement of how far that bracket is from the left side? Say from the screwhole of the...

Barracuda A/C vents install- pics needed

Yeah it does, thanks! I don't want to install this bracket wrong. Hate to drill more than one set of holes.

No A/C cars out there????? Just need a verification of the vent bracket.

Barracuda A/C vents install- pics needed

Can anyone verify that the cutout on this vent support bracket lines up with the stamped hole under the bottom (where the ashtray is)? And, does the bend go towards the back or towards the front? Need to drill some holes for this bracket.

    classic auto air: should I?

After a 100 degree day like this one, absolutely! (Yes, I'm a wimp). If I want to be able to cruise with the family, they will have to be comfortable. Of course you have to build in extra horsepower in the motor to make up the difference in compressor drag!!!

New Heater Hose and Bypass Fittings

I ordered and received a set of new 1969-down heater hose/bypass fittings for my Barracuda. One of them is a LONG fitting.. where the heck does that one go? I've looked for a picture as an example and can't find it. I know my waterpump has been replaced on my 1968 318 before so I can't use it as...

A/C on the hot rod cruiser

jaws, how well did the lines for the condenser line up with the factory holes? Can you take a picture of the hardlines, or are they identical to the website photos I posted a couple of replys up?

A/C on the hot rod cruiser

Here is a shot of the Classic Auto Air unit under the hood. As you notice, their heater box/AC unit exits where the blower motor would be. I'm taking my heater lines through the original heater ooening (custom plate I built out of stainless steel parts) and my A/C lines are passing on top the...

A/C on the hot rod cruiser

I'm in the process of building a custom A/C setup for my Barracuda. At the time I started, I didn't know ClassicAir had a surefit system. I am creating my own custom setup using a Vintage Air servo controlled airbox, a "spare" dash I had (radio area was already cut up), and an assortment of...

Barracuda A/C vents install- pics needed

Thanks to wonderful group of individuals, I got my bracket I was looking for. Now, the fun part- figuring out where to mount the bracket. My car doesn't seem to have the drilled holes for the A/C support bracket. Could someone measure the location of the holes for the bracket? Picture would...

Barracuda A/C vents install- pics needed

Well, it looks like Redfish has the pad I'm looking for, but he didn't have the vent support bracket. Anyone have a spare out there? Redfish says they are the same up to 1976? This is the bracket with the studs that mounts to the bottom of the dash that the vent assembly mounts to...

Barracuda A/C vents install- pics needed

I'm in the process of adding the factory chrome A/C vents to the bottom of a non-A/C dash (making a custom/factory looking setup). Can anyone post pictures of how they attach to the bottom of the dash of a 67-69 Barracuda/Dart? Mine is actually a 68 in case there is a difference with the wrap...
