    Steering Column Bearing Replacement HELP

The bearing came from the original column thread: Enter the ER16 flange bearing. It has a 1" inner diameter, and an outer diameter of 52mm. Turns out the column jacket has in inner diameter of ~52mm. Just a smidge less actually. So, you can search ER16, SER205-16, etc.

    Spring Relocation Dimensions

The factory hole in the frame seems to be what everyone is using. So I shouldn't need the dimension of the front to rear mounting hole. All I need at this point is to make sure I get the correct size tubing for the rear shackles... Thanks

    Spring Relocation Dimensions

I don't need anything tonight - and I work at a fab shop so coming up with the tubing is no issue - surely don't need anyone going out of their way.... Dimensions will be perfect for the tubing. That's all i really need. I know how far the front brackets were moved in so the geometry there...

    Spring Relocation Dimensions

Everything you said is correct. The front mount was welded in; the rear tube for the rear shackle was not. Can't really take pictures right now.... I kind of figured I would use the front holes for ride height. reassurance is nice...

I need to know what size the tube needs to be that is to be welded in the rear frame rails. Also need...

    Need a Picture....

Does anyone have a picture already or could take a picture of the rear floor pan in a '68 Barracuda. What I need to see are the locations of the seat belt mount locations for the rear seats. The center two are there, but I believe somewhere along the way during the mini tubbing I've lost the...

    Steering Column Bearing Replacement HELP

No, no plastic I just cross drilled the column tube and used two short 1/4"-20 x 3/8" long bolts opposing each other to hold the aluminum bushing in the tube.... The ID of the bushing holds the inner tube in place. The new bearing presses into the bushing... That ID is critical for the press...

    Steering Column Bearing Replacement HELP

OK So this is what I came up with for a solution.....Due to the fact that my column was closer to 2-1/4" diameter, the bearing didn't fit.... Aluminum bushing for the bearing to sit in. The back side of the bushing holds the inner tube in place.... Let me know if the attachment does or...

    Steering Column Bearing Replacement HELP

Everything you just said is correct. Just got to it before i was able to. Tube is actually 2-1/4"....as opposed to the 2" tube used in the initial bearing replacement thread. So, I'm going to attempt to find another bearing that will satisfy the different outside tube and cut down the plastic...

    Steering Column Bearing Replacement HELP

There's no linkage that travels through the column between the inner and outer tubes. I'm at a loss without it sitting in front of me, but the inner tube is say ~ 1.375" - 1.5" diameter and the outer is the 2" tube...

    Steering Column Bearing Replacement HELP

    Front End setup help

Can someone do me a favor and get me the dimension from the back side of the k frame next to the lower control arm to the nearest flange of the control arm itself. I need to either confirm or deny something. I'd like this to be from a stock setup. Preferably 73+. Thanks

    Front End setup help

That makes sense. I've got one of those strap wrenches I can try to hold the stud with. Then just slide the bushing on then slide the LCA onto the bushing. I've just been worried about damaging the LCA stud but hadn't thought about the strap wrench then hitting it with air to lock it up...
