    You'll find yourself spending your money on narrowing a rearend with custom axles, or on custom offset wheels. I know someone local that will narrow an 8 3/4 housing for $150, you just have to buy axle. If you go with stock width, lots of axle available for around $300 dollars with new bearings...

    Thanks jbc426. I'm running the 2800 lbs ss springs with a Lh and Rh spring. 408 la that I plan on adding 4 speed auto later but really want fuel injection first. 2.94 gears in the rear with a 727 right now. The engine just doesn't seem to care that it's under geared

    Quick question, has anyone ever used a rear sway bar with SS springs? I'm replacing my torsion bars and adding a front sway bar. I know if I add the rear bar, it will keep the ss spring from having full travel under power. But, I have the light ss springs because of the ride height, not for drag...

    polyurethane bushing help

    I'm installing poly bushing on my ss springs. The kit comes with bushing for the big eye and small. I'm also using the offset mopar shackles. The problem is the large bushing fits the shackle. The small bushing fits the eye. I need the big bushing insert in the small bushing. Anyone ever drill...

    shortening 8 3/4 truck axles?

    I did this in 2002 with my 72 swinger. Narrowed a truck rear end (8 3/4) to 49" and mini tub the car. Moser does a process called cold splining. The axle is already hardened. It was $95 and shipping was almost as high both ways. A friend did the same thing in his race car. Not such a good idea...
