What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

Just to clarify, I'm not having cooling issues with this car. It has a 180* high flow Thermostat that I installed when I put the intake on last year. I'm just looking forward knowing that upon visual inspection of the radiator, coupled with it's age, It's probably not going to be long before...

What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

No issue with aluminum, just with Cold Case (they keep bragging about drop-in ready, no modification etc...) that wasn't my case with my 70 Coronet R/T. It's the only purchase for that car that I regret. I may pull it out and mock it up in the duster, if it fits, I'll buy the radiator for my...

What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

I'm not sure what's different, but the late model ones like the 75 I posted a picture above, have 2 core radiators that are half the thickness of the earlier ones, but the fan clutch is still almost touching the radiator...something is different, I'm not sure what.

What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

I've got a 75 Duster 360 that the OE radiator is looking like it's about ready to give up the ghost. I'd live to put a radiator such as this one sold by autocity1958 on ebay ( 1966-1972 Mopar B & E Body Aluminum 26" Radiator Road Runner Challenger Cuda | eBay ) But these cars came with these...

    Lower Radiator Hose Spring

I make my own out of heavy gauge hot dipped galvanized wire. I don't know if it's necessary or not (I've read more than I care two on both sides of the argument), but anyone will be hard pressed to convince me that it needs to come out. Takes a few minutes to twist one up and stuff it in...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

Thanks! Unfortunately with the Duster, all we know is that it's a real deal 360 car w/ #'s engine. Transmission #'s say it came from behind a 1967 318. No Fender Tag & No Buildsheet. The Duster has been ran hard and put away wet most of it's life, but it's rust free and daily driver...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

On some vehicles, yes. On this particular car, a 1975 Duster 360, Factory A/C car, no. On my 74 Ramcharger SE, factory 440 A/C truck, no.

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

Yes, when I first opened the box I was like "uh oh", but extended it is 36" and I have enough to re-do one of the ones in the Ramcharger left over.

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

There's actually two, one guy used Vinyl Vehicle Wrap material (I Didn't have any handy and it's somewhat expensive unless you have some laying around, depending on the brand it may or may not be heat shrinkable too) to wrap around the original parts and the other guy used ShopVac hose. The...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

I spent most of Saturday morning trying to find a 2.5" ID hose to replace the defrost Duct's in my wife's 75 Duster (I just went thru this with my 74 Ramcharger and wasn't happy with the flex duct I had purchased from McMaster-Carr for that. I found lots of threads here and on other mopar...

Confused on Heater Control Valve for 1975 Duster 360

I ended up buying this heater valve on eBay too (I bought three of them) 3846483 CHRYSLER 1975 Dodge Dart A C Heather Control Valve New ORIGINAL MOPAR | eBay all I did was take a 4x4 piece of scrap lumber and the second bend on the bracket I flattened it out and drilled two holes to use the...

Confused on Heater Control Valve for 1975 Duster 360

so I mocked it up to try and help myself figure this out. From the Intake Hose Nipple which is 1/2 to the Heater Control Valve inlet which is 1/2 Then from the Heater Hose Nipple Outlet which is 5/8 to the Heater Core 5/8 Then from the 1/2 Heater Core back to the Water Pump 5/8 Nipple...

    Which intake for AC

an old timer told me that the LD340 intake was just an aluminum version of the 1970 340-4 Intake. I just bolted an RPM Air-Gap intake to my wifes 75 Duster 360. The bosses for the factory A/C compressor lined up (it was taped for a smaller bolt which was no biggie) and clears under the hood...

Confused on Heater Control Valve for 1975 Duster 360

(cool serpentine setup you've got there  ) then that has me back to being confused about the heater hose routing. On the heater core coming out of the firewall, the pipe is for 1/2" heater cose (driver side) and the one on the passenger side is for 5/8 heater hose. I was going to run...

Confused on Heater Control Valve for 1975 Duster 360

I'm in the process of swapping a Eddy RPM Air-Gap onto my wife's Duster (Factory 360 car with A/C and Cruise) I spent a few hours searching online for proper heater hose routing last night which I finally figured out (I also have both 1975 Factory Service Manuals but they're a little generic...

    Vintage air 65 dart

it depends on what "level" you want to go with. meaning: do you want to replace 100% of your OE components? want to keep your OE Ac Box and Controls? Want to replace just the lines and compressor? I can tell you this from experience, its going to cost between 1000 & 1500 to either...

NE1 ever upgrading wiring using a relay to the blower motor?

the only electrical upgrade has been a CD player in the glove box, but no other sound system mods and the headlight harness was the only other "mod". I've had problems with this alternator since I got it (Autozone)...I let the duster stretch out her legs and ran it up to 110 and after that...

NE1 ever upgrading wiring using a relay to the blower motor?

I'm just wondering if this is possible...I'm getting the A/C working in my wifes duster and when coming to a stop at a red light, or at idle...the blower motor comes to an almost stop as well I can see a big pull on the ammeter. I've already re-done the headlight harness, but that doesnt...

?'s about getting A/C Working on 75 Duster

Now that my wife and I have a kiddo...the A/C is important :) I'm trying to get the A/C working on my wife's car which is a 75 Duster 360 I was told by her FIL, that before the engine was pulled for an overhaul, the A/C worked (when she was 16, she's now 32). I recently had the lines...
