I just don't understand the reason for the lower clips to be different.

That's kinda what I gathered. If they work I'm ok with it. It will be awhile before I get to that point. Hope you get what you're looking for.

I have 2 69 dart GT's and the other one will keep the trim. Will keep it for spare parts in true mopar hoarding fashion.

If I ditched the stripe and filled the holes I would probably make it a swinger clone over a gts clone.

I would like to paint the entire car yellow. The trim is in ok shape.

Looks like a choke stat part to me

I used a internally threaded carriage bolt that went through the top of the scoop. Between the hood and the scoop I used brake line. Inside all of it I cut ready rod that threads into the female carriage bolt. Washer,lock washer, nut from under the hood.

the hood latch is adjustable too.

My stock bars ripped the metal support. It's nice not having to lift at all. It opens by itself and won't fall on your head. It is fairly clean now. I lived on a gravel road. With the trunk seal all jacked it got pretty dusty hahahaha
