That has to be with the vacuum advance hooked up. The longest plate I've ever seen was 22 and that is still only 44 degrees mechanical. You should be able to stick an allen wrench in the pot and tone it down some for the best of both worlds.

Mymopar can kiss it. Still no diagram for a 1959 Imperial. It's only been a decade or two.

The single field setup is like a on and off switch. Works great if you don't do a lot of idleing.

Second hand isn't so bad. You may be able to fix the needle/seat/float in that carb.

Timing tape is nice, but if you have an advance timing light (also called a dial back) its not necessary. First thing I would do is clearly mark TDC on the balancer and the timing tab. Silver shapies are great. You need a tach that you can see from where you are working. If you have vacuum...
