I used a Chevy HHR fan on my 22” radiator setup that is really limited in space between the radiator and water pump.

$90 26" 2 core alum radiator for a BMW M3, Chevy HHS Electric fan ($60 maybe RockAuto). Chop, cut, bang, curse....make fit.

I'm using a fan from a Chevy HHR on my 22" radiator. You can buy new from RockAuto.

I'm in Miami. I barely take my car out in the summer. Too damn hot without AC. Mine would climb up to 220 often also. Recently I upgraded to a high volume water pump. That combined with my 3core Champion rad and an electric fan from a Chevy HHR and now I can keep it around 190 ocassionally...

I installed a Champion 3 core in my 65. It has the correct pass side inlet for later model water pumps. My only issue with it is finding a fan setup that will fit it. It's so thick, I only have 1.5" between the fan pulley and the radiator core. I want to run electric fans but haven't found any...

Was just researching this. Great thread. Anybody have any luck shoehorning the Taurus or Mark VIII fan/shroud into an Early A with a SB and 22" radiator?
