    With 8.39 1/8 mile times, you can't expect much better on the 60' than you're pulling. Your trap speed is right about where it should be for those kind of ETs, so you probably won't see much more of a gain, unless you launch it harder to get up in the power band better.

    Well, that will happen after I tune the motor and get all the lugnuts... I just tested the car again, and it doesn't start moving until about 1450-1500 RPM with no brakes on. What should that mean the converter is, about 2100 RPM?

    the 284 will have a good bit of idle lope, and will be a mostly top end cam, where the 274 will still have some torque, taking a look at the stall speeds they recommend shows that, 2200 for the 274 and 3000+ for the 284
