Yep was definitely the cable it got melted through my heat shield that's why I couldn't see it. Must have vibrated onto header to do that. Oh well new cable shield and all zipped tied out of way.

I been drive my car around and want to see what it did when I matted it. The trans shifts dang near right after I hit it. about 3000 rpm range. doesnt seem like I am getting all my power out of the motor shifting that early. Its a 440 with a 727. Would this be a kick down cable problem or...

Can anyone take a picture of how a after market shifter cable hooks on to a 727 trans. I am trying to figure out what brackets I am missing to get everything hooked up.

I cant for the life of me find the 1/8'npt that hook to trans online. Its first time doing transmission lines. Its a male end on the trans and I cant find the female one to hook it up.

I read a few post on here about people changed to braided cooler lines. Anyone have any pictures and list of part/numbers they used to do that. I have this pretty nice transcooler in a box I got with car that I want to use instead of buying a new one.

ok yep the 9 1/4 has a octagonal stop sign cover shape. No "third member". Also 8 3/4 looks like ford 9in

the 8 3/4 has a "center section" "third member" or whatever else people call it and the gears come out with that. Im a young gun so i never heard of a 9 1/4.

has anyone use the 440 source stroker kit? If so what one did you go with and how did you like it? How much work had to be done to block and heads other then the bore?
