Moog K408 wrong bushes in box.

@SGBARRACUDA - they just don't like me !! On a serious note there are other car guys around here who have gotten good service and swear by them. :-)

Moog K408 wrong bushes in box.

Not a fan of Rock Auto because this has happened to me more than once. I recently ordered UCA bushing set for '74 AMC Hornet and received the Mopar ones which were to small and fell into the A arm holes of the Hornet. Ordered a water pump from them for same car and got one for a later model...

    Power Steering box leaking?

While nothing said above is untrue or incorrect in my opinion, in my experience it's usually just a worn out seal and both can be replaced in the car via the methods suggested. 66Cuda referenced just sliding back the column/coupler enough to change the upper. I have often removed the column from...

Upper control arm bushing extra part?

The Valiant patrol car had the sleeves on all four bushings when I took the original front end apart after the lower control arms broke free in the "K" member and started moving around. At the time I was working at a dealership and the parts person identified them for "severe service" vehicles...

    Help identifying sway bar

I recognize the drawing of the end link bracket as an ADDCo product. Likely the sway bar is also. Definitely a rear sway bar. That end link bracket drawing was only used on Mopar "A" body rear sway bar kits from ADDCo.

Early A Steering Column Lower Bearing Replacement

I don't believe the early cars had a bearing at steering box end of the column. A plastic bushing was all I've ever seen vulcanized to the rubber seal that seals the steering column tube from engine bay. This column seal/bushing is available from several vendors like Layson's, Year One, etc...

Energy Urethane upper control arm bushings

Recently bought an Energy suspension upper control arm bushing kit 5.3132G from an Ebay vendor. Pic showed fully assembled bushings but my kit came in pieces without the inner sleeves. Went to install them today after talking to Energy tech department who told me to reuse my inner sleeves but...

Ok so lets really talk K-members here Folks

I like the arguments regarding the building of a better mousetrap for a lesser price. That is what made this country. Don't complain - Do! I also find it interesting that the one person that admitted buying an expensive system did it to get a "low look" (no offense intended) and did not buy it...

    Quick Steering box ID

While there may have been a different color paint daub from the factory indicating the 16:1 boxes from the std manual 24:1's I've never personally seen it or any other identifier. The only way I can tell is to simply turn the box and count the revolutions. The only years I've ever seen it listed...
