Ok, the front frictions measured an average of .040, some cupped and burnt steels: Lets see, 5 frictions at .060 apiece when new, lost .020 each................so .175 - .100 = .075 clearance when originally assembled.

I did this on my Dart Sport ~20 years ago, so my memory is fuzzy on everything I removed. I do remember drilling a hole in the bumper shocks and securing them closed with some self-tapping screws. I don't remember seeing anything exposed that made it obvious that I modded the bumper.

About 75% street 25% strip. I stacked up 4 spare good steels, 4 frictions, the stock .060 snap ring and came up with .065 on the front clutch. I think I'll go with that.

The .149 came only in strip Kits. The .143 came only in a few big block and some Medium Duty trucks. I will look up the numbers tonight! As the jets increase the approach angle changes and I prefer not to drill them unless absolutely necessary as I can not change approach angle.

you should still be able to press that bearing out. There has to be at least part of the bearing housing or needle set showing or the shaft would rub the housing. Find a deep well socket in your tool box that just barely slips into the hole and pop the bearing out. You could also punch the...
