    Speedo clocking?

I have a 35 tooth speedometer gear and I`m not sure where to clock the speedometer gear housing in the transmission. There`s a spot for 32 and one for 39. Does it matter? Will it read different at different indexes? Thanks for any and all help.

A bit odd looking.I`ve read that you can use a B-body rear by just removing the spring perches and moving them in 1/2 inch on each side. This would be asthetically...
