    Tidewater Mopar Club pictures

The Tidewater Mopar Club was the featured car club for the Friday night gathering at the Smithfield, Va. car ralley. There was a good turn out of A-body cars for a change. I`ve thrown in a few memorable B-bodies too like what appeared to be an old beater GTX, it`s actually a factory Hemi/4spd...

    What B-body is your favorite?

This topic has surely been touched on before ,but if you had to have a B-body (arm twist), what would it be? I recently found one of my favorite B-body cars of all time on Ebay.......`70 Hemi RoadRunner.

    `69 1/2 440-6pk question

I was reading somewhere recently that the early 440-6 cars from `69.5 had the smaller 440 rods as most all 440`s and that the large rods were only introduced in late `69 or`70. This article was in a reputable publication, I think it was Mopar Muscle. Has anybody got the 411 on this?

    Help ID 340 #`s

I found the letter/number H1 just below my block ID on my 68 340. The same letter/number appears on the oil pan rail of the block at the right rear. Does this indicate any undersize journals or anything of that sort? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Upgrades galore!

This winter I took the old engine/trans out of the Barracuda and installed a new rotating assembly that`s just shy of 500 ci`s (which added almost 60 cubes) as well as a ported set of Mopar aluminum heads. That necessitated bigger tubes on the headers and 3" exhaust which I wanted the pipes...

    American Musclecar bb`s dyno`d

Did anybody see American Musclecar the other night when they dyno`d the factory versions of Detroits big blocks. They took all the heavy hitters from the 60`s , Chevys 409, Pontiacs 421, Fords 427, Chevys 427, and of course Chryslers 426 Hemi. All of the engines were built to stock specs, no...

Got a tip , post it

Today I was putting on my headers and was having a hell of a time getting my fingers in there to start the bolts. I took a small (2" piece) of 3/8 tubing and put the head of the bolt in the end of the tube. It held the bolt just tight enough for me to get the bolt started. Hope somebody else can...

500ci street ride, what head to use?

I`m leaning toward building a 500 or 512 stroker engine for use on the street. I`m currently running a 440-6 w/a set of 906`s ,88cc that are bowl blended and gasket matched. I`d like to keep the valvetrain I`ve got which is the 2.14/1.81 valves w/dual springs w/damper, and a solid cam with...

    Do I need frame connectors?

My 68 Barracuda is starting to show a small crack at the end of the rocker panel right at the bottom corner of the drivers door. Is this an indication of the frame twisting? The car is equipped with a 440-6 and a 4spd. with 3.91 gears. In addition the passenger door used to stick some but...
