I have a set of 906 heads from my 440 and the 383 I am disassembling has 346 heads on it, any opinions on which ones are better? I had not even heard of the 346s until now. thanks, Jared

what is the easiest way to tell if my 383 is an internal or external ballanced motor with out pulling the oil pan! had flexplate on it when I got it! It is a 71 383! Jared

I am in need of some good pictures of the alternator brackets for my 71 383. I have some brackets off of my 440 but the ones that are on the engine are cobbled. I don't know if the brackets that I have will work. having a stupid moment!! I need pictures of a motor with no air of power...

I have a 440 but it needs to be rebuilt! I can get a running 383 to put in it for the time for $200, what is different between the two. Is a 440 wider and are the exhaust ports at a different angle,(do the heads interchange)? Motor mounts different? willl my 4 speed bell housing bolt up to it...
