    Holley Street Avenger blues

I thought the Holley street avenger was supposed to be a bolt on & go carb, so I talked my friend into letting me put one on his Ford 390. Mistake. Leaks, unadjusted floats, etc have made me regret the choice. Anyone else have issues with the street avenger?

    throttle cables

set up my car for the 73-76 v-8 dart/valiant throttle cables. Can you still buy them new? I would like to carry a spare, went to the junkyard yesterday and got one from a 75 cordoba and it is different enough that I don't know if I can adapt it. Thanks in advance. Jeff

    Carter AFB 750 surge

My friend's 440 has a afb 750 carter on it. It is mildly cammed and has eddy heads and an eddy performer intake. Stock hp manifolds and dual exhaust. The car idles good with 17" of vacuum at 5600' altitude here and runs good wide open. It just surges at part throttle, like when cruising or on...

    Quick Fuel carbs

Now that I know I need a 750 carb for my 360 I have been looking at the Quick Fuel 750 and the Proform 750. How do these compare with the Holley HP carbs? They are cheaper but I don't want to buy one and find out they of poor quality.

    650 or 750?

For my 360- building it with 12:1 KB pistons, eddy heads, cam around 240-245 at .050 on the intake and 1-5/8 primary, 2-1/2 collector headers with a rpm airgap manifold, should I use a 650 or 750 carb? Intimidator suggests a HP 950 holley, but would that be a little much for this combo? Big...

    DP carbs with automatics

In reading the Mopar small block book by Larry Shepard, he does not recommend mechanical secondary carbs with automatics. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I was going to run a mech sec. 650 holley on my 360 with a 3000-3500 converter, but I have no experience with this setup. I have used vac...
