This is a Mopar Vintage A Body Hurst Console Shifter 4 Speed Transmission.
This shifter was rechromed 6 months ago and still it is in nice condition. The Hurst selector it is used in very good condition and ready to install.

Looks to be a bayonet/slip in style?
Quick question, does the feeler gauge/shim go between the metal piece and the actual shifter(1ST pic) or does it go on the "outside" of the inserts?? If that makes sense.

Yes, you are right, the lock is on the driver side of the shifter.

The shim go beside the chromed meta on the driver side.

Slide the shim about 1 inch beside the chromed metal ( see pic) to remove the lock and then pull out the shifter. Thanks Enesto
