10 INCH FRONT DRUM STEERING KNUCKLE QUESTION

Hi Folks

1970 Swinger with 10 inch front drums.

One of the steering knuckles has one threaded hole for the ball joint attachment. The other knuckle has no threads in either of the ball joint mounting holes. Is this normal, or have the threads been drilled out? Are they junk?

That's how it was on my car. The later knuckles don't have the threads, but they have huge nuts and bolts holding the ball joint on, whereas the 67-72 has those thin nuts. I wouldn't chance it.
