1350 U-joint dont fit

Hey guys had a quick question so i recently had a 489 3rd member built and sent to me. I requested to have a 1350 yoke put on since i have a 1350 driveshaft from strange engineering. Well here is the problem i put the third member in and attempted to see how the u joints fit in the yoke and they dont. Its if it is a hair to wide end to end, if i put a c-clamp on it to bring the caps in more then the u joint will fit in but then i have no room for the snap rings. Is there something i am doing wrong? i am using spicer 1350 u joints as well

So I only use the snap rings on the driveshaft side and the yoke side uses none? Also thanks for the help Cass I ordered the driveshaft through you
 
Yes. A 1350 pinion yoke has external tabs machined into the saddles which center the U-joint.
 
also don't over tighten the U-joint straps. real easy to crush the caps and distort them. i like to use polylock nuts or green locktight on them
